Delete your account
You can permanently delete your Applulu account and all associated data — including every log in Baby Tracker Lulu — at any time. This page describes the steps and what happens afterwards, as required by Google Play’s account-deletion disclosure policy.
Option 1 — In-app (recommended)
- Open Baby Tracker Lulu on your device.
- Sign in if you aren’t already, then tap Settings in the bottom navigation.
- Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete account.
- Read the confirmation screen — it lists exactly what will be removed — and tap Delete to confirm.
- You’ll be signed out immediately. Your account and personal data are queued for permanent deletion (see timeline below).
Tip: if you’d like to keep a copy of your records first, use Settings → Export data before deleting — you’ll get a CSV / JSON archive of every log and growth measurement. This export is generated on-device, never sent to our servers.
Option 2 — Email request
If you can’t access the app — for example, you forgot your password and the reset email never arrived — you can ask us to delete the account on your behalf.
Email info@applulu.comEmail us from the address you used to sign up so we can verify ownership. Subject line: “Delete my account”. We action these requests within 5 business days.
What gets deleted
- Your account profile (email, name, sign-up date)
- All baby profiles you created, including their photos, birth dates, and any caregiver invitations
- Every log entry — feedings, sleep, diapers, growth measurements, vaccinations, milestones, medicine, temperature, and activities
- Any draft or in-progress entries that hadn’t been saved
- Local cache and offline storage on your device, the moment the app processes the deletion
What we keep, and why
Two narrow categories of data must be retained briefly even after account deletion, for legal or technical reasons:
- Database backups — automated nightly backups continue to contain your data until they roll off our retention window. All backups older than 90 days are purged automatically; we don’t restore deleted accounts from backup under any circumstances.
- Subscription / billing records — Apple and Google retain your purchase history independently of us; we keep an anonymised reference to your subscription state (active / cancelled, no personal data attached) for up to 7 years for accounting and tax compliance, as required by law in our operating jurisdictions.
We do not keep your name, email, or any health-related logs after deletion is processed.
Timeline
- Immediate: account is signed out; new log-in attempts fail; all logs are flagged for deletion.
- Within 30 days: personal data is permanently removed from our live database.
- Within 90 days: all encrypted database backups containing your data have rolled off retention and been purged.
Account deletion is irreversible. We cannot restore data once the 30-day live-database deletion has run, even if you change your mind and re-register with the same email.
